Mr. Ron Jenkins is deputy director for external affairs and development at The Guildhall at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. The Guildhall at SMU is the premier graduate video game education program in the US. Since 2005, the program has graduated nearly 400 students and alumni are working at more than 140 video game studios around the world. From speechwriter for the US Secretary of Agriculture to corporate advertising executive to agency owner to long time J Walter Thompson employee, he received great value out of his journalism degree from the University of Missouri. During his 25 plus years on the agency side, his technical client experience has ranged from such industry giants as AMD, BMC Software, EDS, HP, IBM, Microsoft , RIM and TI. He is a member of the executive board for the SMU Bobby Lyle School of Engineering and an active member of the PC Gaming Alliance and the Independent Game Developer Association. He was also executive producer of Tne Quest to Lava Mountian, an education game designed to fight childhood obesity which will be used by 2 million Texas school children this fall and available to 65,000 school system next year.
